I am proud to represent Nacogdoches, the “Oldest Town in Texas.” Nacogdoches played an important role in Texas’ fight for independence. Many leaders of early Texas called Nacogdoches home (either permanently or temporarily), and attempts for freedom were launched from the Old Stone Fort.
The Fredonia Rebellion represented a third attempt at independence from Mexico, which occurred in Nacogdoches from 1826-1827. The Fredonia Rebellion Flag promotes the values of independence, freedom and justice.
These are values the people of House District 11 take to heart, and we work hard every day to live these principles to make our region, state and country places of opportunity for current and future generations.
